After interviewing Myrna Rosen, my team and I made three major sections for our newspaper; how it all began, support from her husband/family, work/creative process, her perspective on the future of lettering.
An eight-page book, with a front and back cover that can also be used as a poster.
CALLOUTS/TYPE TREATMENT
For the type treatment, we wanted to use a sans-serif for the body copy paired with a serif font for callouts– this added a nice balance of elegance without compromising the reading experience.
We played around occasionally by breaking the text-box (shown in the third picture) and also mimicking blackletter calligraphic stroke in the text box.
We took more of an artistic approach to typography by breaking a rules to arrange the reading experience in a playful way.

For the second part of the editorial, my team translated the print design into the digital space. The viewer is brought to the homepage where there is an option to view a documentary and split screen to interact with the type as well as the illustrations.
